Some reflections on Mitchell’s pragmatist variant of scientific realism

This article aims at discussing an interesting variant of scientific realism recently proposed and defended by Sandra Mitchell (forthcoming), namely affordances-based pragmatist realism. We firstly place Mitchell’s proposal in the context current state debate over Secondly, we summarize salient features proposal. Thirdly, point out some aspects that might require further refinement clarification order to make it less prone criticisms both realists antirealists. More precisely, this paper address following issues: 1) whether can be classified as a genuine form realism; 2) fact figure variants no miracle argument is tension with other its features.
